I am currently chairperson of the Association of Women Attorneys Foundation in Houston, Texas. We raise scholarship funds for female law students attending law school in the Houston area. It is challenging in this economy to raise money for any charitable endeavor but we are optimistic that our hard work will help us reach our goals this year.
Currently planned is a fun evening August 12 at Avant Garden in Houston. You can imagine how hot it is in Houston in August -our event is called "The Watermelon Crawl" with a nod of appreciation to that great country song for inspiration.
